WWW Wednesday is a book meme run by Sam at Taking on a World of Words.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
So let’s get to it!
What are you currently reading?
The Siren by Kiera Cass
I read the self-published version of this book back in 2009 when my BFF and I stalked Kiera at TwiCon (yes you read that correctly) in order to get autographs. I’ll post a picture of the original version beside this new one sometime soon! Anyway – I remember being slightly disappointed in the Siren but I wanted to give it another shot now that it’s been given a second chance and edited by professionals. I’m not very far – only about 20 pages in – so no official verdict thus far.
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
I just started this one on audio though I’ll be very honest – I was listening to it while on the elliptical so I’m not sure how much I really paid attention today. So far it seems okay and I’ve heard great things about this series so I’m excited to get into it!
What did you recently finish reading?
Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
This book was SO MUCH better than Heir of Fire, though I still had a few problems with it. Read my full review here.
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West
I also listened to this one on audio and thought it was just adorable. I’ll be seeking out more of Kasie West’s work in the future.
First & Then by Emma Mills
This book was also super adorable and I finished it in two sittings. Hooray for finally finding some cute books!
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Wrath & the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I got this book as a Christmas gift and I’ve been working on all of the Throne of Glass books since then and haven’t had a chance for any other fantasies! I’m very excited to finally take this one off of my TBR shelf.
And that’s it! I have to say I was really glad to finish quite a few books this week. The beast that is Heir of Fire just had me in such a slump. I’m happy to be back!
