November Haul/December TBR

December TBR
I had a severe lack of will power last month and purchased quite a few books. I’m making it my goal to read as many of them during the month of December as possible.

So without further ado, here they are!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – the Illustrated Edition by JK Rowling and Jim Kay

illustrated HP

This book is so beautiful you guys. SO BEAUTIFUL. I’m a firm believer that you cannot read Harry Potter too many times and I can’t wait to re-experience the magic in a whole new form.

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I cannot describe to you how excited I am for this book. I have heard such great things and I can’t wait to dive in soon!
Etiquette and Espionage by Gail Carriger

e&e

I came across this book while browsing Book Outlet one day. I’ve heard great things about the Parasol Protectorate series for years but I’ve never gotten around to it. This is the first book in a young adult series set in the same world. I am super pumped to get into this one. It sounds AWESOME.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

carry on

I’ve been excited for this one for a while, but I’m hesitating to jump into a long fantasy book after just getting through the behemoth that is Winter.
Soundless by Richelle Mead

soundless

I loved the Vampire Academy series but was just so-so on the Bloodlines one, but I’m totally intrigued by Soundless. First of all it’s about the third of the size of her normal novels which is quite appealing to me right now, AND it’s a standalone which is so rare for Mead. Plus – look at that cover!
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge

cruel beauty

I picked this one up at Half Price Books on Black Friday. I hadn’t heard much about it, but my friend Nicole told me she’s heard good things so I decided to give it a shot!
It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

kind of a

I know, I know, this one has been around for quite some time. I’m totally behind the game here, so it’s time to get caught up!
eBooks Purchased:

Wicked Games by Sean Olin

wicked games

I saw some noise happening on Twitter about this one and it was on sale for $1.99. Who could resist?!
Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider

extraordinary

I loooved The Beginning of Everything so I have high hopes for this one too!
Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

made you up

Got this one on a Cyber Monday deal for $0.99. I hadn’t heard of it before then but it sounds real good. I love me an unreliable narrator!
Steering the Stars by Autumn Doughton and Erica Cope

steering the stars

Another Cyber Monday find. Look at that gorgeous cover!

There you have it! All the books I purchased in the month of November. I’m going to make a valiant effort to get through them all in December, but the realist in me knows that’s probably not going to happen.

I’ve made a promise to myself not to buy any more books until after the holidays and with this TBR I don’t think that will be a problem!

What are you planning on reading this month?

    1. Same! I really thought I’d be reading that one by now but I just couldn’t get myself to pick it up after finishing Winter. I need a few quick reads to make me feel accomplished this week 😉
